The tech job market has been on a roller coaster the last year or two, with companies of all sizes hiring - and then laying off - large numbers of employees. How can your organization keep and retain the talent that you have, and draw in new talent when the conditions are right? My colleague Tammy Lawlor wrote a great article on this recently, and my main takeaway was to lead with strategic context. When teams and employees know the business vision and product strategy, it allows them to focus on what’s most important, without getting distracted with less-important tasks.
